Obituary for Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith, 84, of Corbin, KY, passed away Sunday, October 15th, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin.

Mary was born in Peabody, KY on May 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Della (Jones) and Charlie Wagers.

Mary is survived by her five daughters: Patsy (Lonnie) Fox of Corbin, Paulene (Joe) Hobbs of Barbourville, Barbara (Thomas) Henson of Manchester, Vicki Eversole of Corbin and Dinah Smith of Corbin; and her son,Cecil (Peggy) Smith, Jr. of Urban Creek.

She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; by three sisters: America Napier of Garrard, Romain Henson of Tyner and Hester Smith of Manchester; and by two brothers: Chester Wagers of Double Creek and Jim Wagers of London.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Smith,her son-in-law Bige Smith, her brother Steve Wagers and her sister Juanita Henson.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 20th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Curtis Wagers and George Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery on Elk Creek.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 19th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY .
